Vendor Spotlight: Winding Creek Wedding Barn Styled Shoot

A few months ago, I stumbled upon one of the best rustic wedding venues I've ever seen in Hamptonville, NC. It's called Winding Creek Wedding Barn, and it's just a short drive from Charlotte.

Immediately upon meeting Trista and Johnnie Gilmore, I fell in love with them. They are such down to earth, genuine people. They bought Winding Creek last year and have been doing tons of things to make it even better than when they got married there just a few years ago. Trista is very creative and does an excellent job of helping brides make their wedding dreams come true, and Johnnie will do whatever it takes to make the day run smooth and perfect! The venue includes a DJ, bartender, decor, tables, chairs and much more all for one set price.

After a tour of the grounds in February, we decided to host an open house and styled shoot all in the same day. It was definitely a challenge for me, as I have never done a styled shoot or hosted an open house before. I got very bold somewhere along the planning lines and decided on not one or even two set ups, but four set ups...I'm happy to say that it was a huge success!

A huge shout out to all the vendors that worked with us to make the day such a success! All of these vendors were super great to work with and all love their clients. You couldn't go wrong picking any or all of them for your wedding.

You can see here that rustic can be elegant and Winding Creek is perfect for all kinds of couples.

Jeni Buchanan - Thanks so much for the sweet words, Deborah! Most couples book with me about a year in advance. Yes, I absolutely do photograph events other than weddings.
If you are looking to book the venue, please contact them at windingcreekfarmweddings@gmail.com They host all kinds of events and are fabulous to work with.
Deborah L. Bullock - Wonderful warm feelings just from seeing the pictures. How far ahead would a person need to book? Do you host events other than weddings ?
